MLM Claim Jumpers!!! Sad, but “Bull Frogging” seems to be the trend today and gives MLM a bad name!
When will the madness end? Today, it seems so much worse than years ago and MLM has a bad rap due to it. Money games, short term hyped up deals are trendy as people seem to spend so little time evaluating home based businesses today. It all comes down to wanting to be the first one in and have everyone else join under you. How can we change this and rebuild the MLM reputation to be once again a viable long term opportunity you can actually retire on?
The only sure fire way to make it in MLM today is to find a solid long term opportunity, take time to research it & the competition prior to joining. You should also interview your sponsor (not recruiter) & decide if they can truly support you & your team. I also believe that the wellness field is the best arena to be in for long term income since people want to be healthy now more than ever due to so many health issues prevalent today.
Why health and wellness? All you need to do is look into the history of MLM & we see several companies that are still going strong like Shaklee, Herbal Life, Melaleuca, and many more. Yes, there are a lot of competitors in this arena so it takes some time to decide which one will work the best long term. Why none of the other types of home businesses such as telecoms, travel, energy, information deals, money games, jewelry, or any other non consumable products?
History again puts this all in perspective. None of these types of programs ever last long term. Non consumable products mean no residual income. Energy programs have so many competitors that it truly comes down to price only and when MLM is attached to it, the price is to high. Telecoms can’t compete with the big boys, so they are here today, gone tomorrow. Money games are obvious! Simply money changing hands with useless products attached. The only ones who make it here are the big recruiters, everyone else loses money. Information overload as these types of programs offer to much information which in most cases are collected on the internet for free, then sold for a huge profit.
Money Games: Let’s stop helping these so called home business owners and big recruiters from getting rich time and time again at the expense of the little guy! Here is the trend they use to make money again and again. They start a program they know won’t last, when things slow down, they close it down, take the money, and then start a new deal under a different name. Unless you know who these owners are and their past history, you may never know that this happens! The key is to know if the program has real value to the end user or is it worthless products.
Bottom line: If we truly want to succeed today long term, we need to take time to research not only the business to choose, but who we work with to help you reach your long term goals. Stop trying to be the first one in a program simply to make a quick dollar, then it fizzles out and you move on to the next so called hot deal. Regardless if you choose health and wellness or another type of program, be sure to compare the competition and interview your sponsor prior to joining. Remember that any solid legitimate program will take time to build and you should give yourself at least a year to see results.

True Leaders VS. Lemmings in MLM! Plus, “Bull Frogging”
Sad, but it never ceases to amaze me how closed minded so many people are in MLM once they choose a company to promote. I will not bring up any company names, but it all started with some juice programs I saw that I wanted to compare programs with. People have a tendency to defend their choices to the point of where it truly becomes ridiculous! I have never been this way nor will I ever be this way. Leaders know that it behooves them to see what their competitors are up to to make sure their company stays on top of it to remain in the game! If not, they should consider moving & taking their downlines with them. But, this really comes back to leaders who really care about their downline’s long term success, ease of duplication, products, quality, pricing, compensation plans, their owner’s ethics, and a lot more.
We truly need to reverse the huge failure rate out there today in MLM and keep people from “Bull Frogging” to the next so called hot deal out there. Most of these types of people never make it anyway & keep looking for greener grass elsewhere. The other sad fact is that the vast majority of people are only thinking about money first & not the longevity of the company! There are way to many scams or better known as pyramid schemes out there as well! All of them end up making the big guys & owners rich at the expense of the little guys! I guess we will never be able to convince to many people that they will most likely lose in these deals, but if we can rescue some, it is better than none!
So, what is the definition of a true leader in MLM? One who does their homework, compares programs to see what will work the best for the masses! Look at companies that will have a huge retention rate for true residual income, review compensation plans to see which one is the most rewarding, products that are truly economical and have high impact on others lives to keep them as customers, and an owner who has the highest of ethics to maintain a long term company without greed taking over later! There are just a handful of companies that fit this bill!
So, what is the definition of a lemming in MLM? One who is closed minded, simply blindly follows others without any regard to longevity, and unwilling to look around them with an open mind to see if there are programs better for them & their downline! Lemmings are not leaders, but simply followers who block out everything else. They will defend their decision using illogical conclusions regardless! Lemmings do not like to feel that they made a wrong choice on the company they are in even though they know it! I know how hard it is to admit you made the wrong choice, but better now than later after you have lost it all, right?
Sometimes I have made the wrong choice too, but in almost all cases it was good to start with, then the owners got greedy & changed things later. Those of you who have been in the industry for sometime know exactly what I am talking about. Here are the typical things that happen when the owners decide to make more money off of their distributors: Product quality drops, pricing goes up, compensation plan is changed for the worse, they turn the company from a privately held one to a public one controlled by investors, they decide they no longer need distributors after you bring in numerous customers so they don’t have to pay you anymore, charge for their websites, and so much more.
Solution? Be a leader to help eliminate the huge failure rate in MLM and finally give it a good name where people will be proud to promote it as a viable way to earn from home. I know MANY people who because they have had bad experiences in MLM will never do it again & tell others the same. We can change this if we are focusing on doing what is best, not just for our sakes, but those who follow us! Stop jumping from deal to deal chasing the almighty dollar! The only true way to retire is to try & make the best choice you can now & hope it holds up long term! Look for a mentor or sponsor who has a lot of experience in MLM and one who cares about your success long term! Finally, make sure you have a true passion for what you promote or you will fail.
Moderate exercise is crucial, but so is eliminating chemicals from your home & body. Finally, taking supplements to compliment your health.
We all know that “stress” is one of the major causes of a weakened immune system! To help reduce stress, make yourself feel better daily to cope with stress as well as reducing your chance to get disease! Several steps are needed to accomplish this.
First: Eat good foods LOW in fat & sugar! *Organic veggies, fruits, chicken (lean), fish (some are high in Omegas too like salmon), beans, nuts, and lentils.
Second: Exercise daily, even if only moderate. If you love the water, swimming is the # 1 exercise that works on the majority of your body all at once. If you exercise indoors, an elliptical unit is extremely effective! If you jog, I suggest you run, then walk, otherwise you will put a lot of stress on your joints (from bouncing) and later you will have joint problems.
Third: Take effective vitamins & supplements that “work” To often people rely on store bought vitamins that suffer in LOW bio-availability, hence very little is absorbed. This is very difficult to research sense so many companies claim that there products are the best.
Fourth: Eliminate toxins from your home & body! Chemical buildup over time in your system weakens your immune system, hence disease has a much better chance of attacking your body. All the cleaning products, body & hair care products you buy from the store, unless it is a health food or organic store, are toxic. So, you need to find non-toxic products to eliminate these from being absorbed into your body to put a lot less stress on your immune system.
*Organic means void of pesticides, but be aware that it does not mean there are more nutrients in it! People think that just by eating organic foods that they will get all the nutrients their body needs, but this is not true! You still need to supplement in order to make sure your body gets all it needs. Why? Simple: Soil nutrient depletion due to over farming.

What Are The Success Variables You Need To Work From Home?
1] Choose a company that has at least a 5 year or more track record of success! Anything less and they will most likely fail or go out of business (over 95% fail)! Make sure their management team are true long term visionaries, not just short term money people! Do NOT join a publicly traded company or you will be at the mercy of investors who many times decide to drop distributors later for a higher profit margin! One that is privately held and plans to stay that way is the best!
2] Choose the best industry that most people want which is health and wellness! This will impact people’s lives unlike other types of programs that don’t. Programs that don’t last are telecoms, travel, affiliate types, money games, cash gifting, buying clubs, and the list is long! There is only one problem with health and wellness! If you don’t have a passion for this for you and your family, you most likely will not do well in it!
3] Choose “Value Priced Products” This is extremely important! Consider placing yourself in a customer’s shoes! Would you not only buy the product now, but will you purchase it for a long long time since it is of great value to you. Is it either saving you money or the impact on your life is well worth the cost? Way too many people buy into HYPE instead of realizing the value first! I have seen this happen in many juice and energy drink programs or those with way over priced products!
4] Choose the right compensation plan! One that rewards everyone rather than only the big recruiters and the company! I have found a properly structured Matrix Compensation Plan is the best no matter what others might say! Some Matrix Plans do not make people money until late in the game, so call me with any questions about this! The worst in order are Binaries, Breakaways, Unilevels, Hybrids, etc…They typically make the big guys rich at the expense of the little guys!
5] Choose the right sponsor! This is equally important, especially if you need upline support! If you are like me, it is very important to find someone you relate to with a lot of knowledge & time with the company. Spend a lot of time with them on the phone to make sure they are a good fit for you as well as give you total support. One of the major problems we have today is that too many people are just “recruiters” who simply throw people in a program without support and move on to let you fend for yourself! The “recruiters” simply look at large numbers of people to recruit & know that some will be able to work on their own without support. Sad, but true & many get hurt by this!
6] Research and compare! Don’t simply blindly jump into a program due to high pressure salesmen who call you to try and get you to decide right on the spot! These people know how to toss out all kinds of bells and whistles to get you to join now! If it sounds to good to be true, it is!!! One of the major problems is people think to much about easy money rather than long term income! Today, the main reason people don’t succeed is they don’t take the time to research a company and interview their sponsor. I see a lot of people go into these cash gifting programs where a lot of people get hurt since so many at the bottom never make a dime and lose their entire investment!
7] Search the company and read the posts about it! A simple google, yahoo, or other search by typing in the name of the company first, then the name followed by scam to see what people have posted about it online. Here you have the opportunity to see how other people feel about it, what their experiences have been, their longevity, more about the owners and their background, plus a lot more! Just remember this a huge business decision for life, why not make the right one first! As they say, there are NO guarantees in life, but at least you can give yourself the best chance possible to succeed at home!
8] Finally, have a system in place to build your company of choice. I use a complete software system to harvest leads FREE online based on keyword searches, a phone broadcast platform to use that is reasonable at ONLY 1.8 cents/minute, and a separate email program called Jmailer Pro. It doesn’t matter whether you are using it for MLM, home based business, or even a brick & mortar business, everyone who needs new clients can use this! Here are the 2 web sites to review.
