True Leaders VS. Lemmings in MLM! Plus, “Bull Frogging”
Sad, but it never ceases to amaze me how closed minded so many people are in MLM once they choose a company to promote. I will not bring up any company names, but it all started with some juice programs I saw that I wanted to compare programs with. People have a tendency to defend their choices to the point of where it truly becomes ridiculous! I have never been this way nor will I ever be this way. Leaders know that it behooves them to see what their competitors are up to to make sure their company stays on top of it to remain in the game! If not, they should consider moving & taking their downlines with them. But, this really comes back to leaders who really care about their downline’s long term success, ease of duplication, products, quality, pricing, compensation plans, their owner’s ethics, and a lot more.
We truly need to reverse the huge failure rate out there today in MLM and keep people from “Bull Frogging” to the next so called hot deal out there. Most of these types of people never make it anyway & keep looking for greener grass elsewhere. The other sad fact is that the vast majority of people are only thinking about money first & not the longevity of the company! There are way to many scams or better known as pyramid schemes out there as well! All of them end up making the big guys & owners rich at the expense of the little guys! I guess we will never be able to convince to many people that they will most likely lose in these deals, but if we can rescue some, it is better than none!
So, what is the definition of a true leader in MLM? One who does their homework, compares programs to see what will work the best for the masses! Look at companies that will have a huge retention rate for true residual income, review compensation plans to see which one is the most rewarding, products that are truly economical and have high impact on others lives to keep them as customers, and an owner who has the highest of ethics to maintain a long term company without greed taking over later! There are just a handful of companies that fit this bill!
So, what is the definition of a lemming in MLM? One who is closed minded, simply blindly follows others without any regard to longevity, and unwilling to look around them with an open mind to see if there are programs better for them & their downline! Lemmings are not leaders, but simply followers who block out everything else. They will defend their decision using illogical conclusions regardless! Lemmings do not like to feel that they made a wrong choice on the company they are in even though they know it! I know how hard it is to admit you made the wrong choice, but better now than later after you have lost it all, right?
Sometimes I have made the wrong choice too, but in almost all cases it was good to start with, then the owners got greedy & changed things later. Those of you who have been in the industry for sometime know exactly what I am talking about. Here are the typical things that happen when the owners decide to make more money off of their distributors: Product quality drops, pricing goes up, compensation plan is changed for the worse, they turn the company from a privately held one to a public one controlled by investors, they decide they no longer need distributors after you bring in numerous customers so they don’t have to pay you anymore, charge for their websites, and so much more.
Solution? Be a leader to help eliminate the huge failure rate in MLM and finally give it a good name where people will be proud to promote it as a viable way to earn from home. I know MANY people who because they have had bad experiences in MLM will never do it again & tell others the same. We can change this if we are focusing on doing what is best, not just for our sakes, but those who follow us! Stop jumping from deal to deal chasing the almighty dollar! The only true way to retire is to try & make the best choice you can now & hope it holds up long term! Look for a mentor or sponsor who has a lot of experience in MLM and one who cares about your success long term! Finally, make sure you have a true passion for what you promote or you will fail.
